Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants is bringing Napa Valley to Chicago this December with the first-ever Napa Valley Takeover, a three-day culinary experience presented in partnership with Napa Valley Vintners.
From Friday, December 5, through Sunday, December 7, Lettuce Entertain You restaurants will bring the spirit of Napa Valley to Chicago with a series of California-inspired events, ranging from exclusive wine dinners and a Cabernet Sauvignon masterclass to an all-day Chardonnay celebration and a Rosé by the Bay brunch finale.
Anchored by The Grand Napa Valley Wine Tasting at The Oakville Grill & Cellar, the weekend will feature more than 40 participating wineries and a series of culinary collaborations that bring the flavors and hospitality of Napa Valley to life in Chicago.
A highlight of the weekend, the partnership between The Oakville Grill & Cellar and Napa’s iconic Gott’s Roadside will deliver an authentic taste of California, with a pop-up lunch takeover at The Oakville on Friday, December 5, and signature bites served throughout the Grand Napa Valley Wine Tasting experience on Saturday, December 6.
A portion of proceeds from the events at Summer House, Pizzeria Portofino, and RPM Seafood will benefit the Digestive Health Foundation, supporting groundbreaking research and patient care at Northwestern Medicine Digestive Health Center.

Friday, December 5 – Gott’s Roadside Lunch Takeover at The Oakville Grill & Cellar

The Oakville Grill & Cellar welcomes James Beard award-winning restaurant Gott’s Roadside for a lunch pop-up. Rolling into town for Lettuce Entertain You’s Napa Valley Takeover Weekend, this legendary burger joint is making a one-day-only pit stop at The Oakville, bringing its roadside classics to the lunch menu. Make a reservation to try standouts from their menu including the California Burger, Ahi Tuna Burger, Black & White Milkshake, and more, available alongside The Oakville lunch menu.

Saturday, December 6 – The Oakville’s Grand Napa Valley Wine Tasting at 167 Events

The signature event of the weekend, the Grand Napa Valley Wine Tasting, takes place at The Oakville’s private event space at 167 N. Green Street in Fulton Market. From 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM, guests can explore more than 48 Napa wineries, connect with their vintners, and purchase their wines, all while taking in views of the city’s skyline. Culinary stations from The Oakville Grill & Cellar and Gott’s Roadside will feature California-inspired small bites to complement the wines. Guests can add on additional experiences:

Begin the day with an intimate tasting led by six winemakers and owners representing Napa Valley’s most celebrated AVAs. This guided exploration reveals how Napa’s kaleidoscope of terroir—its varied soils, elevations, and microclimates—shapes the distinct character of Cabernet Sauvignon across the valley. Through curated pours and conversation, guests will “connect the rocks” as they uncover the deep relationship between place and flavor that defines Napa’s most iconic varietal. Attendees enjoy 30-minute early access to the Grand Tasting floor following the session. Space is limited—reserve early.
