Monsoon Pottery Clay Carving Workshop at Sushi-san – Lincoln Park – SOLD OUT

Danielle of Monsoon PotterySushi-san – Lincoln Park hosts a one-night-only workshop with celebrated ceramic artist Danielle Chutinthranond of Monsoon Pottery. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of inlay, the ancient decorative technique used to create Monsoon’s signature blue-and-white porcelain. Danielle will kick things off with a guided history of inlay and its connection to traditional Asian ceramics. Then it’s your turn: tools in hand, you’ll follow along with a live carve-along demo before creating your own custom design on a porcelain plate. Tickets are $110 per person and include hands-on instruction, one porcelain plate to carve and decorate using the inlay technique and select Sushi-san bites. Additional plates will be available to carve for $40 each. Fired and finished plates ready for pickup at Sushi-san – Lincoln Park in 2-3 weeks. Space is limited. Event begins promptly at 6:00 PM.
