Miru is Now Open at The St. Regis Chicago

Dine on fresh sushi and Japanese fare with sweeping views of Chicago

Miru (401 E. Wacker Dr., 11th Fl.) located at The St. Regis Chicago is here! The modern Japanese restaurant is now open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner with weekend brunch, afternoon tea, carryout service to follow. Miru, which means view in Japanese, offers views of Lake Michigan, Navy Pier, and the Chicago River from the dining room and expansive outdoor terraces. Miru marks the first of two Lettuce restaurants to open at The St. Regis Chicago. 

Reservations for Miru are now live and can be made via OpenTable.

The menu celebrates the flavors and cuisine of Japan and includes a selection of shareable dishes, maki, nigiri, fresh seafood, Wagyu steak and more.

Let’s check out a few of our menu favorites!

Miru’s dining room features a 12-seat sushi bar. The sushi menu also offers sashimi, nigiri, and maki with signatures like Triple Tuna Chutoro with otoro, akami and garlic crunch, Deluxe California, Caviar, King Crab, avocado and cucumber and the Hamachi Ponzu with cucumber, avocado, scallions and topped with yuzu ponzu jelly.

Pro tip: ALWAYS save room for dessert! If you’ve got a sweet tooth dig into one of the desserts made by Executive Pastry Chef Juan Gutierrez, winner of Netflix’s School of Chocolate.

Indulge in the Black Sesame Mochi with charcoal-vanilla ice cream and black sesame praline.

The restaurant also serves breakfast daily and offers continental dishes in addition to the restaurant’s take on traditional Japanese breakfast including The Tokyo Breakfast with grilled umami King salmon, dashi tamago, rice and miso soup. The lunch menu at Miru offers restaurant signatures, salads, and sushi in addition to lunch specials like the Tokyo Lunch which includes a choice of protein with a side of miso soup, rice and Japanese pickles.

In addition to the restaurant, The Coffee Bar on Eleven is open from 6:30 AM – 11:30 AM, serving handmade pastries, fresh fruits, a variety of coffee drinks and organic Rishi tea. Guests can also enjoy an abbreviated bar menu in the bar and lounge from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

The beverage program at Miru is led by Beverage Director Diane Cocoran (previously of RPM Italian and Three Dots and a Dash) and includes a menu of seasonal, Japanese-inspired cocktails and classic cocktails made with premium local spirits, plus non-alcoholic drinks. Miru offers an expansive sake program curated by Sake Specialist / Sommelier, DeAnn Wong (previously of Momotaro) which features more than 40 selections. Wine lovers can delight in a wine list from Wine Director Kat Hawkins (previously of RPM Steak and Shaw’s Crab House).

Available throughout the hotel, the St. Regis brand’s signature libation is the bloody mary.

Exclusive to the Chicago location and created by Diane, The 1871 is served in a smoking glass, paying tribute to one of the most impactful events in the city’s history, The Great Chicago Fire and features a local Rye Whiskey from FEW Spirits, house-made bloody mary mix, fresh dill and a rim of smoked salt. 

Coming soon is an afternoon tea service, which will be available Saturdays and Sundays in the Drawing Room and Library. A signature of the St. Regis brand, the afternoon tea service will include hand-selected Rishi loose-leaf teas. The menu showcases a delightful assortment of savory and sweet bites with Japanese influence as well as house-made pastries and an entremet cart.

Miru also boasts several private and semi-private event spaces both indoors and al fresco available for groups of 10 – 300 guests. The refined decor of the Library and Drawing Room offers a space for a private reception or afternoon tea of up to 65 guests reception-style.
