Sushi-san Rolls into Nashville’s 12 South Neighborhood

Sushi-san is now open in the Music City in Nashville’s 12 South neighborhood at Ashwood Center. Sushi-san is known for serving up the freshest fish set to the freshest beats, paired with one of the most robust sake and Japanese whisky programs in the country. Led by Master Sushi Chef Kaze Chan, Sushi-san joins sister restaurant Aba as Lettuce’s second restaurant in Nashville!

Sushi san Nashville food spreadThe newest Sushi-san location offers a variety of spaces to match any vibe, including the main dining room, a 8-seat sushi-bar, bar and lounge as well as a spacious patio that opens directly to 12th Avenue South. For larger gatherings, a 12-seat private dining room is also available.

Nosh on some of your all-time favorite menu items from Sushi-san, plus a few new favorites! Making its way to Nashville are some of the Sushi-san signatures you know and love including the Chef-curated nigiri and sashimi, such as Balfego Bluefin Tuna from Spain, highlighted in San-Sets like the Mr. Maguro; maki and hand rolls, from classics like Salmon + Avocado and Spicy Tuna to the Super San with chu-toro, otoro tartare, and sansho, and the Snack-o with tempura shrimp, lean tuna, and avocado; binchotan-roasted meats such as Vietnamese Pork and Beef N Bop Sizzling Rice Bowl; small plates such as Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice and Coal-Roasted Edamame and a wide selection of à la carte nigiri, sashimi, and rotating chef selections. Sushi-san Kids Bento BoxSushi-san also invites you to bring the whole family! Order up the kids’ bento box with choices like the Salmon Avocado Roll, Cucumber Roll, Chicken Nuggets, or Mac and Cheese, served with edamame, mixed fruit, and an E-Mochi for dessert.

If you have a sweet tooth, you can find the brand’s first-ever walk-up soft-serve window with flavors such as Hokkaido Vanilla and Pineapple Whip on offer, along with a selection of desserts from Pastry Chef Juan Gutiérrez, winner of Netflix’s “School of Chocolate,” such as Sticky Miso Caramel Cake

Sushi san yuzu margaritaAnd to drink, sip on more than 65 different expressions of Japanese whisky – including rare bottles from Mars and Chichibu debuting in Nashville. The menu also includes blast-chilled Asahi draft beers, served from a Hoshizaki blast chiller, and cocktails like the Yuzu Margarita, Third Eye Vision, a spin on a lychee martini made with Roku Gin, and the Paper Junglebird with pineapple amaro and rum, along with zero-proof options. 

Sushi-san is known for its sake program, led by Certified Sake Professional and Sake Sommelier Daniel Bennett which features more than 20 varieties, including the restaurant’s private label, Sake-san, a junmai ginjo jizake crafted with Daimon Brewery in Osaka, Japan, available for the first time outside of Chicago.
