Fresh Flavors at Antico Posto

The 'Old Spot' gets a new menu

Introducing the new menu at Antico Posto, the go-to spot for lunch and dinner in Oakbrook Center. You may know Antico Posto for its cozy atmosphere, friendly staff and, of course, the pillow-like Gnocchi dressed in house-made sauce. Now you’ll know it (and still love it!) for the new menu additions featuring Italian specialties, trattoria classics and fresh takes on your signature favorites that will transport you to Italy with just one bite.

Your itinerary for a tastebud tour of the new menu is below!

Antico Posto Beef CarpaccioStop One: Antipasti

Start with antipasti perfect for sharing, including Whipped Ricotta, Beef Carpaccio, Toasted Garlic Bread and Shrimp Scampi in addition to favorites such as Chicken Meatballs and Fried Calamari. The Beef Carpaccio is sliced paper thin, topped with house giardiniera and best enjoyed with a toasted crostini, while the Toasted Garlic Bread begs for a dunk in the side of zesty tomato sauce – you’ll want to fill up on these alone, but you still have a few more stops through the rest of the menu so proceed with caution!

Italian Salad at Antico PostoStop Two: Salads

Enter the new Italian Salad – basically, a charcuterie board chopped up and tossed together, featuring ten vegetables, charred pepperoni, cheese-stuffed cherry peppers and torn mozzarella, providing an explosion of texture, flavor and a hint of spice with every bite. Nosh on the Golden Beet & Avocado Salad – best enjoyed with a glass of vino complete with tangerine, hazelnut and ricotta salata.

Pastas at Antico PostoStop Three: Pizza, Pasta and Gnocchi Della Casa

The new pasta dishes are ‘amore’ on a plate! Not to skip over the classic brick oven pizza, but we’ve got our eyes on all the newly added pasta dishes. This stop is all about getting lost in the sauce, with the Spicy Rigatoni Alla Vodka boasting a creamy vodka sauce enhanced with Calabrian chili, parmesan and fresh basil, and the Porcini Ragu Gnocchi sharing the spotlight with roasted mushrooms and grana padano. While there are still favorites like the Ravioli Splendori and Spaghetti Bolognese, we can’t imagine not ordering the new Trofie with Pesto.

Chicken Milanese at Antico PostoStop Four: Entrees

It’s probably about time to add some protein on your menu tour, with newcomers such as Salmon Vesuvio, Chicken Milanese and Chicken Piccata (all large enough to share). Dig into the Salmon Vesuvio with crispy potato, English pea, white wine and garlic, and make sure to listen to the crunch when you cut into the crispy crust of the Chicken Milanese topped with roasted peppers and lemon chicken jus. The Chicken Piccata is as familiar and comforting as a dish can be, with a modern twist of roasted artichoke, capers, garlic, white wine and lemon.

P.S. – If you’ve been an Antico fan since day one, you’ll be pleased to know that the Chicken Raguso is now a permanent fixture to the menu!

Tiramisu at Antico Posto in Oak BrookStop Five: Sweet Endings

By now you’ve tasted your way through the new menu at Antico Posto, however, no excursion is complete without a scoop of Housemade Gelato or an Affogato made with Beatrix Coffee Roasters espresso. You can choose your own adventure for dessert with sweet indulgences including Tiramisu, Olive Oil Cake or Chocolate Budino.

Make a reservation at Antico Posto – your new adventure awaits!
