Sushi-san Rolls into Chicago’s Lincoln Park

Say hello to your new, go-to neighborhood sushi spot

Your fave sushi spot is making its debut in a new neighborhood! Join us in welcoming Sushi-san (1950 N. Halsted St.) to Chicago’s Lincoln Park. The newest Sushi-san location serves up a menu from Master Sushi Chef Kaze Chan that features signature maki, hand rolls, San-Sets, nigiri, sashimi, Sizzling Rice, noodles, robata-grilled dishes, all set to the tune of golden era hip-hop.

What’s more? Sushi-san – Lincoln Park boasts one of the most robust sake by-the-glass lists in the Windy City. Join us for dinner seven days a week for dine-in, or order carryout and delivery to nosh on at home.

nigiri san saetWe may be biased, but along with serving the freshest sushi in Chicago, there is a lot to love about the Sushi-san – Lincoln Park space, including the bar, which features floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open onto an intimate patio on Halsted Street, and the eight-seat sushi bar, perfect for grabbing a quick dinner while sipping a Kappu-Zake (6 oz. cup of sake).

The space is available to book for custom, private parties including corporate dinners, late-night karaoke, bachelorette parties, and more. Sushi san salmon avocado makiWith more than a dozen maki available, it’s hard to choose a favorite! Order up the Spicy Tuna, Salmon and Avocado, Lobster California, Bluefin Tuna and Avocado or Truffle Shiitake, plus, pro-tip: Guests can opt to “hold the rice” and substitute with a cucumber wrapper for any of the rolls.

Sushi San San SetMade-to-order nigiri and signature San-sets like the Mr. Maguro, a 10-Piece San-Set that includes one roll, tuna loin, chu-toro and otoro, are also at the core of the menu, along with day-one starters like the Tako Taco.

Mentaiko spaghettiNew to the Lincoln Park location are appetizers including an Umami Scallop DIY hand roll, a selection of signature sashimi plates like Ginger-Sesame Salmon featuring Faroe Islands Salmon with fresh ginger and hot scallion oil, and Bluefin Tuna Wafu, finished with dill and Castelvetrano olive. Items such as Chilled Soba Noodles with chili garlic vinaigrette and  Mentaiko Spaghetti with ohba and kizami nori are great new additions.

beef n bopLooking for non-sushi items? No worries, we’ve got plenty. Sizzling rice bowls such as the Beef ‘N Bop and Lobster Kimchi, along with robata-grilled items including the Vietnamese Pork, are available to order, too.

Kids Menu Chicken Sushi sanThe restaurant also serves up Sushi-san’s first-ever dedicated kids menu featuring a Bento Box with kid-friendly options like Chicken Nuggets, Mac ‘n Cheese and Miso Salmon.

Sushi san breakfast pancakesFor dessert, guests can enjoy Sushi-san’s signature E-Mochi and Japanese Breakfast pancakes topped with matcha butter and black sugar syrup, along with Nama Chocolates.

Sushi san my neck my bok drinkGuests can sip on a selection from the extensive collection of Japanese whiskies or enjoy a blast-chilled Asahi, a Sake Bomb, or creative specialty cocktails from Beverage Director Kevin Beary like the Drip on the Strip, My Neck, My Bok, or Still Tippin’ Old Fashioned. Beary also created the N.W.A (Nothin’ With Alcohol), with spirit-free selection, like the Don’t Look Down and Glitter Bomb.

The Omakase Room Sake San pouring a glassThe restaurant is proud to offer one of the most extensive sake-by-the-glass programs in the city, with more than 16 available in three- and eight-ounce pours, all hand-selected by Certified Sake Professional (aka Sake Sommelier) Daniel Bennett. The menu includes “High & Dry” sake like the house Sake-san junmai ginjo jizake, “Fruit & Floral” like Sakeone’s Naginata junmai daiginjo, and “Rich & Round” including Sohomare’s Tuxedo. Kappu-zake, six-ounce cups, as well as exclusive by-the-bottle selections are also available.
